Some early morning pics and disappearing cats

Funny to see this doe looking at the rabbit as if to say "hello" or "what are you doing in my feeding space?"...

And this sequence in the morning.  Look in the distance.  It appears there are two black cats in the tall grass.  They are gone in the last image....

 

 

Groundhog

Or as I like to call them, a woodchuck.  This is in a field at the corner of Beaver Ave and Meredith Dr.  We used to look for horses but they are gone.  So we see occasional deer and I always watch for woodchucks.  Today I had my camera and it was out looking around.

Dean can vouch that this is my favorite mammal.

Happy Birthday Mom!

While I can cite my brother Dean as a big influence on me liking nature, my mother certainly helped foster that.  Happy "89" to the ol' Girl Scout Leader!

 

More colors from today

The Indian summer is having an effect on the leaves this fall.  Trees are late to turn.  Never the same year to year.
