Maybe a last hurrah on the leaves in our yard

The rain is helping thin the trees of their leaves.  We still have some yet to turn.  So this might be as good as they are going to get this year.

Turkey Crossing

It's been awhile but we had Wild Turkeys back in the neighborhood.  I still haven't been home when this happens but Cindy assures me Russ gets more than a little excited when he sees them.  They are smaller than a deer but bigger than the other regulars we see.

Yesterday, we had six of them walk behind our back fence.  And once again, Cindy got some great photos while trying to keep our hound under control.

On the rocks

I'm always checking our window wells for critters.  Our egress window is especially deep so I have to look a little closer.   Two days ago I pulled out a vole.  Yesterday I spotted two little frogs so I figured I better climb down.  I got to looking a little closer and all of a sudden one of the rocks I was looking at was not a rock!
