Good Friday!

Trying to use up my feeder.  Not as sunny as I'd hoped today.  Took my new position behind the tree and outside of the fence (so working on "closer" close-ups).  And the always reliable White-breasted Nuthatch stopped by and I got lucky with a combo with a Black-capped Chickadee.  Not a bad 10 minutes worth of work...

I'm working on getting pictures of deer eating my bird seed

Since I'm not always out to capture birds, I've noticed deer lapping up my seed so I thought I would position the camera to capture them.  No luck yet, but here are pictures from the last two days (only one from the trail camera and not a deer)...

After sorting through a few dozen rabbit photos this popped up. 

Not a clear photo but interesting in where this coyote might be going.

Normally I don't get excited seeing a Dark-eyed Junco,

but this was interesting to me because they are well-known ground feeders.

Feeding time at the zoo!

That's a funny expression but it felt true last Sunday.  It was a nice sunny day and I was putting out my feeder and literally birds starting coming closer in the trees.  Particularly my not shy White-breasted Nuthatches.  I thought one might light on the feeder as I was putting it up.  The pictures below don't do the closeness justice but a few were less than 10 feet away on trees going up and down.
