More good activity - Coyotes, Red Fox with FOOD and Wild Turkeys

 It's been a good run lately.  FINALLY got a pic of a coyote or fox with something in its mouth.  This red fox found something in the grass.  Looks bigger than a vole.  And a wild turkey fanning its tail.

Good Coyote Pics and a Daytime Red Fox

 Busy traffic behind the fence lately.  It's the edge of the woods so a natural path to take to flush out food.  Exciting to see coyote and red fox sharing the path again.  You'll see a coyote stop and look around so good detail and a great image of a red fox in the afternoon...about 30 minutes before I took Kyanne out.

Fox Sightings (it's been a while)

 I see red fox in the neighborhood more than I do along the edge of the woods due to the coyote presence.  But they do run in the same area from time to time.  I have been seeing fox in the 5 to 6am timeframe in the last few weeks.  Great shot of the tail size compared to the body.

More foxes (or possibly the same family moving up the street?)

 Ky and I were out for our morning walk around 6am this morning and I noticed a fox in a fenced backyard.  It turned and walked out of view.  I looked closer and saw two kits on a woodpile.  And then from the other side of the house I saw what I presumed was mama.  Could be another family OR could be the one I saw down the street a month ago.  I would think the pups would grow so this is likely another family.  I've seen more fox in the last 9 months than the other 13 years we've lived here combined.

Fox in the 'Hood

 Walking Kyanne this morning around 6:15 I looked over and saw a Red Fox just sitting in a yard.  Didn't seem bothered by us and Kyanne didn't seem impressed.

Zooming in with a cell phone isn't the best option but here's what I saw...

Our neighbor across the street posted a video of a fox and at least 3 kits by a shed in her deep backyard.  Possibly the mama that I saw?

Itchy Fox

I'm beginning to believe my neighbor when he said we have coyotes living behind our houses (he's 2 doors to the north).  A definite uptick in sightings.   But we also have the return of red fox.

Here's one stopping to scratch.  It allows you to really see the tail.

 I went many years without a single Red Fox photo and now I'm getting all the time.

These are from late last night and early this morning...

We had a bobcat and it's coyote mating season...so bring on the foxes!

 I put my chip right back out with the success I had two nights ago.  This is my best sequence of Red Fox pictures.  If you check the times...it came through four different times (assuming it's the same fox).
