Wild Turkeys, my first "2 shot" of coyotes, the big buck, more raccoons and a cat?

 October has been a pretty busy month.  I'm posting the pictures below in date order.

Steve said this guy is a stud.  Over 180 on a scoring system.

This is a cat that apparently lives across the street.  A frequent visitor.  So far has avoided harm.

Same cat.  All I ask is it eats what it kills.

Amazing it took this long to have 2 coyotes in the same picture.

 I had some images saved from September and now time to post them.  More coyote images and a funny raccoon encounter....and tracking big buck of late.

Fox and Raccoon

I was hoping the supermoon might bring something overnight.  Here is a blurry Red Fox and a pretty good sized raccoon.

It was a busy night last night

I've had a dry spell of late with the trail camera.  But checking it this morning I was surprised I had 132 images.  The camera is set up to take 4 pictures in succession, but even so, that's probably 5x as many as I would hope for.

Before I get to the pictures, Cindy and I were awakened at around 2:40am to the sound of howling and barking/yipping.  We could tell it was a coyote but had to listen to see if a dog was involved and we determined it was all coyote.  Quite the ruckus.

Here's what I captured last night (coyote, raccoon, deer including two different bucks)...

The "hole" story

It's not a surprise that we have raccoons in our yard.  We live right next to the woods.  I have seen footprints in the mud and snow over the years.

A few weeks ago, I saw this hole behind our house...

 

I figured it was the work of a raccoon.  I left the hole alone and a few weeks later and it appeared a rabbit was trying to make a nest.  Not a good location with Russell on patrol...

 

So I filled it in.

 

 

Russ has always spent a lot of time in the back corner sniffing.  I figured it was some type of hot spot for animal activity.  I noticed mud on my fence railing in that corner and one other location and I knew I had confirmation of where the raccoons were entering our yard...

And so last night I put out the trail camera in that back tree and pointed it toward the corner to see what's going on at night and here you go...
