Polyphemus moth
Credit to our standard poodle Kyanne for sniffing out this polyphemus moth (giant silk moth).
These pictures were taken over two days and then it was gone. I've never seen one before - they are quite a sight!

Luna moth
Saw this last night. Unfortunately this Luna moth died sometime today. It was struggling last night and again this morning. I took a picture last night and this morning to document. Wasn't sure what it was at first...thinking it was a butterfly. But it is a moth and Luna moths are one of the biggest in North America. They are lime-green.
