Wild Turkeys, my first "2 shot" of coyotes, the big buck, more raccoons and a cat?

October has been a pretty busy month.  I'm posting the pictures below in date order.

Steve said this guy is a stud.  Over 180 on a scoring system.

This is a cat that apparently lives across the street.  A frequent visitor.  So far has avoided harm.

Same cat.  All I ask is it eats what it kills.

Amazing it took this long to have 2 coyotes in the same picture.

Getting ready for Turkey Day?

Coyotes, raccoons and a buck (September activity)

I had some images saved from September and now time to post them.  More coyote images and a funny raccoon encounter....and tracking big buck of late.

I'm including the image below to show how well-fed are raccoons are...

Below is the funny encounter.  Not sure what's going on here 😄

Big Buck - I looked back and I haven't posted a buck picture since last December

I'm pretty much leaving my camera out all of the time.  Yesterday morning marked the return of a buck passing through and according to Steve...this is a good one.

Quote "that's a good buck.  Definitely over 5 years old.  I'd be after him at the farm.  I bet he would score above 180".

Labor Day Coyote Activity

It's been since March since I've seen a coyote on the trail camera and I'm pretty much leaving it out all the time now.  Below are two different times over the weekend...

One more frog for good measure

I just posted about the variety of frogs we have and I end the night with this....about the size of a half dollar....

Vole Rescue

Kyanne kept going to the window well but I didn't see the usual suspects so figured she smelled a raccoon from the night before.  I took another look and she was on something...time to retrieve a vole...

I got it out with my coffee can (with gloved hand!) and chased it under the deck.  It tried coming back out but Ky was on it again...

July brings frog and toad rescue season

Catching up from July...here is the annual roundup of frogs and toads in July.   This is at the bottom of my five foot deep window well.  I think this is the most I've seen at one time.  It was after a big rain...

This is not a rescue but I always marvel at the variety of frogs we get...
