I don't think this is common milkweed

Still trying to determine what this plant is.  It is not common milkweed to my eyes.  The stem seems too smooth and thin.  I believe it is swamp milkweed.  I am also comparing it to dogbane, but the lack of a reddish stem leads me to believe it's in the milkweed family.  Since these photos a few days ago, something bit the top off so watching to see if it will recover.

Any thoughts Jon or Dean?
